Gefundene Objekte spielen in den Arbeiten von Otto Zech eine doppelte Rolle.

Bildcollagen, Materialcollagen dienen in der Malerei gleichzeitig als Form und Farbelemente, wichtiger ist aber der Informationsgehalt der gefundenen Objekte.

Jedes Objekt in der Arbeit „Papierflugzeuge“ wurde gebastelt, bespielt und verloren. Woher kommen die Flugzeuge, wer hat sie gefaltet? Warum gingen sie verloren - die Fragen der Betrachter öffnen wie ein Schlüssel einen Zugang zum Werk.
